Daphne was born in England and brought up living in countries all over the globe.
For 18 years, she was an actress in Canada;
working in Theatre film, radio, dubbing and television.
Before moving to New Mexico, Daphne lived with her husband Gene, a Longshoreman, on the Columbia river
in a large floating home that they designed together.
In 1996, they moved to the southwest, where Daphne started to paint..
greatly impacted by the Wildlife around her.
As a child living in India and Venezuela, Daphne was an avid photographer and spent much of her time, photographing people and animals with her box brownie camera …today in her work, she often uses her bird and animal photographs… she still loves photography!
Daphne’s paintings have been featured in numerous galleries in Las Cruces,
as well as in Arizona and El Paso,
where the University Medical Center
has nine canvases of her work on permanent display.
She has also had numerous shows at the Dona Ana Arts Council.
We would love to help you with all your framing and art needs.
