Erica Collins was born in New York City to two photographers,
emerging into a creative world from the beginning. Her mother, a fashion
photographer with a studio in the West Village, served as mentor and
muse, often bringing Erica on shoots and into the heart of the creative
process. These early experiences shaped a deep appreciation for visual
storytelling and the power of portraiture. Erica began her formal education
at Duchess Community College where she received the Gold Medal for the
Arts. She continued her studies at California College of Arts in Oakland,
California, where she majored in sculpture and ceramics.
Today, driven by a fascination with the human condition, Erica’s
work focuses on the face as a mirror of emotion, memory, and identity. She
seeks to capture fleeting moments of honesty, intimacy, and presence. Her
art invites viewers to connect, reflect, and engage with the nuances of the
human experience.
We would love to help you with all your framing and art needs.
